Privacy & data handling

• Your files stay with you. Transcripts save to your AppStream HomeFolder; you decide what to keep or delete.
• Transit only to the transcription engine. Audio is sent over encrypted HTTPS to our transcription provider to produce the text. We don’t sell or share your content, and we don’t retain copies beyond what’s needed to return your transcript.
• Tip for sensitive work: upload only what you intend to transcribe and delete artifacts you no longer need from your HomeFolder.

Limitations (read me)

• Speaker separation (diarization) is not included. You’ll get a single, continuous transcript.
• Accuracy depends on recording quality (mic placement, background noise, crosstalk).
• Very long files may take longer or require splitting.

How it works

1. Launch XCR_XCRIPT.
2. Choose an audio file from ~/MyFiles/HomeFolder (or Downloads).
3. Click Transcribe and watch the text appear.
4. Copy or export your transcript.
