What it does

• Converts .TRM → .MP3 (high-quality VBR).
• Runs in your browser via Amazon AppStream — no installs, no admin.
• Works on Mac, Windows, Linux, or Chromebook.
• Handles common FTR/TRM files that play in MPV/IINA.
• Stereo downmix by default (avoids multi-channel MP3 quirks).
• Deletes the temporary .wav intermediate during the session.

How it works (3 steps)

1. Click Launch (you’ll get an AppStream session in your browser).
2. Click Select TRM File and choose your recording.
3. TRM2MP3 converts it and places the .mp3 in ~/MyFiles/HomeFolder (falls back to ~/Downloads). You can then download it to your computer.

Privacy & handling

• Conversion is performed inside your isolated session; the app does not upload your audio to any third-party service.
• Temporary files created during conversion are removed by the app.
• You control what you download and where you store it.
  (You are responsible for handling client data in accordance with your jurisdiction’s rules and any protective orders.)

Known limitations

• Sealed/encrypted TRM files may require FTR’s own tools to unseal/export before conversion.
• Current version converts one file at a time (batch mode on the roadmap).
